NEW STAFF PROFILE | Good morning Tigers! We need your help in welcoming another new staff member to our District! Please help us in welcoming Lourdes Belmares as an Elementary Special Education teacher.
Lourdes attended Western Governors University while working as a teacher assistant with the School District if Reedsburg. She was born in Mexico and has lived in Reedsburg since 1998.
She loves to spend time with her sons, Alexander (12) and Romeo (8), and my husband. Their favorite family activities are traveling ✈️ and going to the movies! 🎥
When we asked Lourdes why she is looking forward to teaching in Hillsboro, this is what she had to say:
"I'm very excited to start my teaching career with the Hillsboro School District! Everyone I have met has been very welcoming and made me feel right at home. I'm eager to meet students, parents, coworkers and people around the community as I begin a new chapter in my life."
We are so excited for you to join our Tiger family! #HSDGoTigers

Our teachers are hard at work this summer attending professional development trainings to provide the best education and opportunities for our amazing Tigers!
Jennifer Gibbons is attending a 5-day AP Computer Science Principles course training at Marquette University hosted by Code.org. She received a generous $2,500 scholarship from them in order to participate in this amazing opportunity!
This training is part of the preparation needed to teach the AP Computer Science Principles course which will be offered for the first time this fall. #HSDGoTigers will learn how the internet represents and transmits digital information, explore the fundamentals of programming, big data, data security, and build apps to solve real-world problems.
We are extremely excited to be offering this course this fall and can't wait to get started!
