Reminder: There is a parent meeting for all HS athletes tonight at 7 pm in the HS cafeteria. Parents are highly encouraged to attend.

Reminder for middle school athletes - you must have your physical or alternate year cards turned in to the office before you are allowed to practice.

MS/HS students - You may pick up your class schedule from Mrs. Sullivan Monday and Tuesday, August 13-14th from 8:00 until noon.

STAFF FEATURE FRIDAY | This Friday we want to shine the light on Spanish teacher Shannon Chute! In addition to teaching at Hillsboro for 12 years, she also serves as the Yearbook Advisor and the H-Club Co-advisor. When she isn't busy at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, running, reading, playing volleyball and traveling. She has taken high school students to Costa Rica on several occasions and will be returning in 2020! When asked what she loves most about working for Hillsboro, this is what she had to say: "What I love most about working for the Hillsboro School District is the closeness of the staff and students! " You are such an inspiration and we want to thank you for all the hard work you put in every single day! #HSDGoTigers

AUDITIONS | All Hillsboro High Schoolers entering grades 9-12 are welcome to audition for the upcoming musical, The Addams Family! Auditions will be held this coming Monday, July 16 from 4-6 pm and Tuesday, July 17 from 1-2:30pm at the Hillsboro High School Choir Room. Being enrolled in choir is not a requirement, however, it is highly recommended. Come prepared to sing a solo song of your choice in a cappella. All roles, including ensemble, must do this. You will also be asked to read if you're auditioning for a part with lines. Don’t be afraid to try something out of your comfort zone, especially if you participated in past productions! If you will be on vacation, cannot make it because of prior obligations, or have any questions - please contact director Paula Parker at paula.parker@hillsboroschools.org

STAFF FEATURE FRIDAY | We want to be able to shine a light on every single staff member in our District. They are the backbone of everything we do and we believe they should all be recognized! Starting today, we will start featuring individual staff members and this Friday, we are shining the light on Todd Salisbury! Todd is the High School Math teacher and has been teaching in Hillsboro since 1999. This was his first job out of college (UW - Eau-Claire) and he knew from day one, that this is where he wanted to raise his family. Him and his wife, Wendy, fell in love with Hillsboro's small-town atmosphere. They have four wonderful children, Amy (attending UWEC), Nicci (High Schooler), Megan (High Schooler) and Brett (Elementary School). He loves spending as much time outdoors as possible. He also enjoys weight lifting after getting hooked on it in high school. He is a HUGE sports fan and loves all Wisconsin sporting teams - especially the Green Bay Packers (this may be the reason why his son's name is Brett!). He used to coach football and powerlifting and is currently coaching junior high track. A fun fact about Todd: He is not a very emotional guy and has a strong dislike of the Chicago Bears, but every time he watches the "30 for 30" ESPN special on the 1985 Chicago Bears, he can't help but get emotional! When asked why he enjoys teaching at Hillsboro, this is what he said: "I enjoy teaching at Hillsboro because you get to know every student on a personal level due to our smaller size. We also have a rich tradition of excellent academics and success in athletics along with other extracurriculars. All of this makes me proud to be teaching at Hillsboro my entire career."
