The 5th grade class wrote thank you cards to Don Slama from Hillsboro Equipment! He donated money for the night lock lockdown devices that were installed at the elementary school and they keep intruders from being able to enter their classrooms. First graders from Mrs. Clark's class participated in a #STEM project! They used Borax to make ice crystals appear on pipe cleaners to make decorative ornaments! How fun! #HSDGoTigers

Last week, the first graders participated in an author study! They studied author and illustrator Norman Bridwell, who entertained students with his beloved character Clifford! The students made their own Clifford in art class with Miss S.! #HSDGoTigers

Kindergarteners got creative last week making Christmas trees and decorating Christmas cookies! #HSDGoTigers #TigerProud

Middle school students worked to “Unlock the North Pole” through a life-size math game board! #HSDGoTigers

Mrs. Seifert and #HSDGoTigers from the elementary school sang Christmas carols to students during lunch!

Students in the art room love using the tessellation blocks! Third graders from Mrs. Ross’s class used them to make this tigers sign with some tiger paws. These #HSDGoTigers are quite creative!

The Hillsboro FBLA teamed up with the W-C FBLA for the 8th Annual Pack the Gym Event during the varsity boys basketball game last Friday! The event consisted of several fundraising events and so far over $1000 has been raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Way to go Tigers! #HSDGoTigers #TigerProud

After following each clue, Mrs. Clark's class ended right where they began their journey to enjoy some popsicles, left behind as a gift from a very sneaky Elf! #HSDGoTigers

The First Grade classes were visited by an Elf who left a map of the Elementary School and a set of clues! The object was to find Something Cool. It is a good thing that these #HSDGoTigers learned how to read maps to locate things and places by using map keys! They also learned how to navigate using directional words such as: North, South, East, and West (Never Eat Soggy Waffles). Way to go Tigers!
