Please help us welcome Mrs. Gem Elmer to her new position as our middle school special education teacher.
Mrs. Elmer joins us from Hillsboro Elementary, where she has worked as an elementary special education teacher for the past four years.
Before moving to Wisconsin, Mrs. Elmer spent several years teaching abroad and at a school district in California's Bay Area. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education and is currently completing the requirements for her Master of Arts in Education, majoring in General Special Education.
Throughout Mrs. Elmer's journey as an educator, Mrs. Elmer has worked with special education students K-12. She says, "each experience has deepened my commitment to making a difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs. As I step into the world of middle school special education, I look forward to growing not just as an educator, but as a compassionate guide, constant learner, and advocating every student to feel seen, supported, and valued."
In addition to her passion for working with children, Mrs. Elmer enjoys photography, gardening, and spending time with her family.
