The World Dairy Expo is the global meeting place for the dairy industry. The expo is an opportunity for anyone involved in the industry to come together for a week to network, learn the latest market developments, and attend a variety of trade and dairy cattle shows.
The expo hosts a diverse audience, with people traveling across the globe to attend. Last year, 86 countries were represented, the top countries represented in attendance were Mexico, Canada, Germany, Brazil, and Columbia. The demographic breakdown of the 2022 expo showed 35% of those attending were dairy farmers, 38% identified as agribusiness professionals, 8% students, 2% retired farmers, while the other 17% identified as “other”.
Last Wednesday, October 4, Hillsboro FFA members had the opportunity to visit the expo grounds and take in all the event had to offer. Special thanks to Jim Mlsna, Jacie Lind, and Brooks Mitchell for chaperoning our students at the event.
