State testing starts next week!
Students in 5th grade will begin taking the English Language Arts portion of the Forward Exam on Tuesday.
Students in grades 4-8 will begin testing the first week in April. Testing continues through the month with sessions in Math, Science, and Social Studies for 4th-8th grades.
Please be sure your child attends school, gets plenty of rest, and encourage them to do their best! #HSDGoTigers #GoodLuckTigers

The Hillsboro Elementary School Library will be hosting a Scholastic BOGO (Buy one, get one free) Book Fair during conferences and the elementary showcase night!
The book fair will be open from 3:45 pm to 6:30 pm on:

These fourth graders used Makey Makeys to create a Conductivity Tester!
Students placed an object across copper foil tape and, if it conducts electricity, an alarm sounds on their Chromebook! #HSDGoTigers




First Graders in Miss Levy's room made a walking rainbow!
They learned how to make predictions, draw pictures, and compare those predictions to how the experiment turned out. They even learned how three primary colors can make three other colors!
