Deep thanks to the Hillsboro Lions Club for their recent donation to the Hillsboro Plus One Program.
Mr. Gonzalez, Plus One Coordinator, said he is "very grateful for the donation and the Lions' interest in supporting our programming. The funds will be used towards field trips and other activities for students." Mr. Gonzalez had recently been invited to attend a Lions Club meeting to explain Plus One and its community impact.
Plus One is a grant-funded, after-school program for K-5 students that offers academic support and enrichment, light snacks, and outdoor time for physical fitness. The DPI monitors the program, and continued funding is dependent on participation.
