On this beautiful September day, a group of Hillsboro High School students traveled to Spring Green to attend the American Players Theatre performance of As You Like It, William Shakespeare’s pastoral comedy.
APT offers a student matinee series every fall to give students an opportunity to attend a professional stage performance and discover the magic of theater. Each production comes with a free study guide, and following the performance, students are invited to stay for "talkback," in which actors, crew, and directors come out to answer students' questions.
Because William Shakespeare’s works were built for the ear, hearing live performances enables students to better understand the content, comedy, and emotional power of the work.
