Please join us in welcoming Tom Hotek to the role of Transportation Co-Director. Mr. Hotek will be splitting transportation director responsibilities with another long-time route driver, Shawn Redington. Mr. Hotek will serve as the district's point of contact for families.
Born and raised in Hillsboro, Tom Hotek is an alumnus whose commitment to public service has been a constant in his life and work. His career as a Hillsboro bus driver began in 2019, and he understands the importance of the role in the community. Parents and schools rely on bus drivers to safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and athletic events. The job holds unique challenges and rewards centered on safety, relationships, and trust.
Mr. Hotek has a tradition of encouraging the singing of our school song on his route upon request. This is just one example of the small gestures that Mr. Hotek has developed to encourage community and school spirit in his role. Tom looks forward to connecting with families and addressing any inquiries they may have about transportation in the upcoming school year.
