Jay Larson

Please join us in welcoming Jay Larson to his new role as head high school football coach.

Coach Larson has been working with the football team for the last four seasons as an assistant coach and says he is "honored to continue the Hillsboro Football legacy. So many outstanding players and teams have proudly worn the Tigers jersey, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to lead the next generation. I look forward to building on that tradition and guiding our program to success both on and off the field."

A Hillsboro Class of 2008 alumnus, Jay Larson says he counts himself lucky to have been part of one of Hillsboro's most successful football teams. After high school, Jay went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Management and Economics from UW-La Crosse.

"I can't wait to get started," Larson says. "I want to bring passion into the program. I want Hillsboro Football to become part of the conversation once again. My keys to success will be teamwork, discipline, and accountability."

Larson wants to thank all the coaches and assistant coaches who have paved the way: Eric Auel, Joe Thyne, Todd Salisbury, John Koopman, Jim Stanek, Zak Dray, Jordan Brull, and Bobby Anderson.
