Hillsboro students pose next to Visual Arts Fest poster

The Mississippi Gifted and Talented Network partnered with Desoto Schools recently to host a Visual Arts Festival where students in grades 6-8 could learn from an artist and participate in three projects that matched the theme.

M'Lou Wilkins, a stained glass artist, shared her work with the students and discussed her creative process.

Students then created three different projects using one aspect of stained glass art, including design creation, pattern making, and final touches.
