This March, Hillsboro student Shayla Soberano attended a Lions Club meeting as a representative of the 8th-Grade Leadership team.
Soberano gave an eloquent speech to Lions Club members about the history of the Tiger Ticket program in our schools, and the goal of 8th-Grade Leadership to expand the program to allow students to recognize their peers for acts of exceptional kindness or character.
The Hillsboro Lions Club motioned to provide ongoing support to help fund the expansion of the Tiger Ticket program in the Middle/High School.
Thanks to the Lions Club for their generous collaboration with our district, and to Shayla Soberano for her initiative and ownership in fostering a positive student culture.
