Hillsboro Middle School students have just concluded the 25-26 Peace Poster Contest. This year's theme, Together As One, asks students to envision what can happen when diverse groups of people unite towards a common goal.
The contest, sponsored by the Hillsboro Lions Club, encourages young people to explore the concept of peace artistically and demonstrate the many ways it can appear in the world. This year’s entries featured a range of styles and ideas.
The winners, selected by members of the Hillsboro Lions Club, are:
1st Place: William Satterlee (8th Grade)
2nd Place: Damian Flood (6th Grade)
3rd Place: Wyatt Lockington (7th Grade)
Honorable Mention: Devan Chute (8th Grade)
Will's winning poster will now advance to the district level of the Peace Poster Contest. The school community congratulates all participants for their creativity and commitment to peace.
