New Board member Becky Hooks poses with kids

The Hillsboro School District is proud to welcome Becky Hooks to the school board.

Ms. Hooks grew up on a small family dairy farm in Yuba and graduated from Hillsboro Schools in 2002. Highly involved in FFA, track, and H-Club during her time as a student, Becky went on to earn an associate degree in Agribusiness from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore. After returning to Yuba, Ms. Hooks built a home on the farm and is now raising two daughters, Lauryn and Kaylee Hooks, within the Hillsboro School District.

Becky has a history of giving back to the community, and is currently involved in the youth basketball program. She is excited to continue this commitment as a school board member, serving the students, parents, and community that provided so much during her formative years.

In her free time, Becky enjoys attending her daughters' sporting events, running with the family dog Ruger, hunting, and riding horses. The past 12 years with Organic Valley have instilled a detail-oriented approach and a focus on finding win-win solutions. Becky's education and career experience have prepared her to ask critical questions, navigate challenging discussions, and help build a district culture that strives to equip students for success while supporting district staff and administration in our mission to help all students learn, achieve, and succeed.
